Leisure Sales Manager

Job Summary
Core Job Duties
Manages the property's Travel Industry Sales functions and managing expectations and ensuring production goals are met. This includes maintaining the entire transient market including packages, wholesale and consortia's: Virtuoso, American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, Signature/Frosch, Altour, Travel Leaders, Centurion, , etc.
Works with sales leader to promote understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segment.
Actively contributes and participates in weekly revenue strategy meetings alongside the Executive and revenue team
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of market segments by analyzing historical data, trends, comp. set intelligence, shops
Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external
Actively participate on all special projects/events such as Site Inspections, Familiarization (FAM) trips, etc.
Partners with Sales and Revenue team to conceptualize and implement strategic focused initiatives, campaigns and packages
Plans and participates in Sales trips and industry related meetings.
Participates in departmental sales meetings, marketing meetings, and relevant operational meetings
Establish and maintain strong relationships with CVB and Tourism organizations to draw awareness and ensure hotel is being represented in an accurate and effective way
Sells the hotel to the leisure market and constantly keeps the hotel in the minds of the travel agents and customers
Works actively with GSO Team on all production, promotion and current offerings, new happenings, news and offers
Revenue Production and Maximizing Sales Results
Provides positive and aggressive leadership to promote maximum revenue potential (e.g., sets example with personal booking goals).
Directs the solicitation and business negotiation efforts within transient segment to maximize room and outlet revenue and achieve sales goals.
Analyze and evaluate effective market trends to identify new business opportunities and re-direct business from competitors
Promotes the property's inclusion into national and international accounts through tour and travel agent consortiums
Managing Sales Activities
Participates in sales calls on own or with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business and increase awareness of Las Alcobas Brand
Partners with the marketing and sales team to plan and direct comprehensive marketing programs to promote the property as a viable destination for travel industry market segments.
Selectively sells travel industry business in the interest of maximizing guest rooms and outlets revenue.
Develops and implements sales and marketing programs and strategies for the travel industry sales and transient luxury markets.
Analyze and Report on Sales and Financial Data
Analyze and evaluate effective market trends to identify new business opportunities and re-direct business from competitors
Analyzes market information and strategy to achieve segment's financial room goals.
Reviews sales and guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of market segments by analyzing historical data, trend, flights and visitors traffic
Exemplary Customer Service
Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies customer service and creates a positive example for guest relations.
Interacts with guests and clients to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback
Serves the clients by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to the company.
Build and Maintain Successful Relationships
Develops and manage relationships with all key clients
Works collaboratively with off-property sales and marketing channels (e.g., GSO, marketing partners) to verify the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are effective
Attends customer events, trade shows and sales missions to maintain, build or develop key relationships with GSO leaders and customers

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
