Job Description
Responsibilities
Provide support for the Visitor Center Manager or Visitor Center Supervisor by assuming a lead role in his/her absence.
Assist in the daily opening, closing, inventory procedures of the Visitor Center, which include computer transactions, reconcile cash sheets and prepares bank deposit slips, inventory reconciliation, and security functions (setting the alarms).
Instruct staff with helpful information on how to achieve sales goals and developing staff sales knowledge and providing tasting and educational information to the employees and in turn the consumers.
Initiate self-development of wine knowledge of all estates, as it applies to the Wine Club and lead seminars, private tours and tastings for VIP visitors.
Assist in the daily operations of the Visitor Center, which include carrying out the following duties of opening/setting up the bar, closing/taking down the bar, create and supervise lunch and break schedules, disseminating daily sales goals and promoting and supervising inventory control.
Conduct consumer and VIP tours of the winery's facilities.
Promote Winery Brand in all outside pouring events
Promote wine club development by adding members and providing the Manager of Wine Club any information needed.
Assume Lead duties in all Consumer paid events-coordinating, communicating with Manager, executing event as the Lead in charge.
Foster strong teamwork by continuing to build relationships with co-workers and supervisors at all Visitor Centers.
Promote positive Public Relations by providing a friendly, pleasant atmosphere in the Visitor Center.
Recognize and minimize intoxication of visitors. Follow all State and Federal guidelines in conjunction with serving alcoholic beverages.
Foster self-development by taking initiative to increase sales and wine knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience, or at least 1 year of experience in Events with a previous knowledge of wine.
Knowledge of legal parameters and liabilities for both winery and individual in service of alcoholic beverages.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Ability to lift a 40-pound case of wine on a regular basis.
Ability to work in a standing position for up to eight hours.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
