Maintenance Technician 2 - St Helena

The Ranch Winery in St Helena is hiring for a Maintenance Technician 2 to provide mechanical maintenance/repair support for coastal winery operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Leads machinery trouble-shooting; documents repairs made.

  • Replaces or repairs defective parts.

  • Reassembles equipment and tests for conformance to specifications.

  • Works on assigned projects; responds to emergency maintenance calls.

  • Disassembles malfunctioning equipment; examines and tests mechanisms on large and small pieces of machinery.

  •  inspects and calibrates instrumentation.

  • Tests equipment and adjusts calibration to ensure equipment is functioning is within specified standards.

  • Interprets technical documents (prints, manuals) as required.

  • Promotes occupational safety standards; gives others feedback on their safety performance.

  • Maintains constructive cross-functional relationships.

  • Searches for and executes against continuous improvement opportunities, executes work in a quality fashion.

  • Performs electrical installations; installs wiring and conduit safely in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.

  • Performs plumbing and piping operations.

  • Operates machining tools, drill presses; performs welding operations.

  • Services pumps and drive system components.

  • Troubleshoots alarms related to key winery systems.

  • Provides preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for barrel processing equipment, bottling line equipment, and filtration equipment.

  • Provides preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for destemmers, presses, and crush pits.

  • Maintains shop machines, tools and facilities.

  • Follows shop safety practices and shop housekeeping practices.

  • Operates electrical test equipment, hand tools, and power tools in a safe manner.

  • Provides facility maintenance and servicing for other departments.

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

  • Associates degree in Mechanical Maintenance and Repair plus 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Required to work 4/10's on a rotating shift (day, swing, and graveyard) and occasional overtime.

  • Required to possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Comfortable conducting work at extreme heights.

  • Required to lift and carry tools and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.

  • Required to provide own tools.
