Summary:
Counsels, educates and assists patients on benefit and financial arrangements and determination prior to service.
Works on routine assignments within defined parameters, established guidelines and precedents.
Follows established procedures and receives daily instructions on work.

Experience:
High School Education/GED or equivalent:
Preferred Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related
Experience:

Essential Functions:
Educates patients on benefits and programs.
Collects demographic and insurance information from patients, collects expected patient responsibility or makes arrangements for the collection of that amount, and financially secures the account.
Determines accounts that may be eligible for government assistance programs or hospital charity care.
Arranges for payment of package prices prior to service.
Responds to questions from patients, insurers and other appropriate parties pertaining to an account.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
